is true. However, the pipes feeding the engine are flowing an air volume that does vary depending on boost pressure. Example: At 14psi of boost pressure, you will have a positive displacement of air through the pipes to fill the cylinder which is at lower pressure during the intake stroke. However, at higher boost pressures, there is more of a pressure difference between the pipes and the cylinder. This affects the air mass quantity as you state, but it also affects the air volume passing through the pipes themselves as higher boost pressure will force more air volume in the pipes into the cylinder.
